hi, howard here. i build things, and a lot of them just happen to have been money-shaped: taxes, lending, underwriting, and eventually risk systems that hedge themselves, which involved more greek than planned. five years at intuit, the rest at places you haven't heard of yet. knew nothing about any of it going in. that's the fun part.

spent years translating between people who speak the same language but can't hear each other. the machines are easier, they just agree with you too fast.

don't worry, the roses still get smelled (just on a 478). off the clock it's reading too much and a fair amount of effort undoing what a desk does to a person, which is what happens when you're built to move and choose a career of sitting still.
